Watch My 7-Minute Story...What Really Happened Inside Larry H. Miller Albuquerque
I brought my Jeep Gladiator in for what was supposed to be a quick turbo repair. Two days turned into six weeks of silence. When I finally got it back, $200 worth of my gear was stolen.
Throughout that time, my calls went unanswered. On the rare occasions I reached someone, they said, “It’ll be a few more days.” Then the days passed...and nothing.
When I got my Jeep home, I noticed something even worse:
My locked air-compressor case had been opened, emptied, and relocked.
The keys hidden under the seat were thrown onto the floor.
The controller for my $500 winch had been unbolted and removed and placed back without bolts.
I called immediately to report the missing compressor...but no one answered.
The next day, I decided I wasn’t going to wait around. If this happened to me, how many other people has it happened to?
I drove back to the dealership and stood in the service manager’s office just to get someone to talk to me.
The first thing they said was,
“Well, it’s Albuquerque — stuff gets stolen all the time.”
That was their first reaction? not an apology, not a report, just an excuse.
After going in circles for several minutes, the manager finally offered to reimburse me for the compressor, but the whole conversation felt more like they were trying to get rid of me than taking real responsibility.
When I asked if we could review the security camera footage, I was told it would “take too long.”
During that same conversation, I also learned that someone on their staff had already noticed my locked box was open weeks earlier...and no one ever contacted me.
They knew something was wrong and chose to say nothing.
Before I left, the manager told me,
“I want to re-earn your business.”
But nothing about the way this was handled showed any effort to do that.
There was no follow-up, no investigation, and no accountability.
Words don’t re-earn trust...actions do.
To this day, Larry H. Miller’s service department has not followed up or shown any genuine concern about what happened.
Update: My Alternator Failed — and Larry H. Miller Still Won’t Call Back
After everything that already happened — the six weeks of waiting, the stolen gear, the empty promises. I thought the nightmare was over.
But it turns out, whatever they did during the repair has now caused my alternator to go out.
I’ve called twice and left two messages with their service department.
Once again, no response.
It’s the same pattern all over again: no communication, no accountability, no follow-up.
At this point, I’m left wondering how many other customers are going through the same thing and just giving up because it’s easier than fighting to be heard.
This isn’t about revenge...it’s about accountability.
Customers deserve honesty, communication, and respect.
If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone who trusts their vehicle to this dealership.

What happened to me shouldn’t happen to anyone. Especially not from a dealership that advertises trust and integrity.
All I wanted was communication, respect, and responsibility.
Instead, I got silence, excuses, and stolen property.
If you’ve had a similar experience, don’t stay quiet.
Speak up. Hold them accountable. Because the moment we stop doing that, they’ll keep doing it to someone else.
